Old Paper for Paper Crafting
Old Paper is not just about illustrations to be framed and displayed. It’s about the pages from books, the type of paper (cotton, pulp, laid, wove, matte, glossy), and the illustrations and the typography on those pages that lends character to the book.
At OldPaperShop we respect the entire book and love to find ways to upcycle, re-use, re-purpose, and re-invent the parts of an old book into a different kind of art. Give it a new life, so to speak.
In the OldPaperShop category Crafty Things, we find fun ways to use pages and prints from old damaged books. I scavenge books that most people would just throw away, and remove the old illustrations and text pages – especially if they have cool typography or content that reads like old Victorian novels. I call it Papercraft, but it can include junk journals, art journals, scrapbooking, decoupage, collage, and anything you can make out of an old book page like flowers, envelopes, tags, and cards.
My eBay store RanchoNan has many of those crafty items available for purchase, and I am always adding new ones as I come across them, or when I discover a new fun DIY project on YouTube or Pinterest.
